Kai Newkirk has spent his life organizing people to take on powerful interests and win change that improves lives. A nationally recognized community organizer, Kai has helped lead fights for workers’ rights, health care, voting rights, immigrant justice, climate action, and democracy. He is the co-chair of the Progressive Council of the Arizona Democratic Party and the founder of For All, a center for nonviolent action and organizing.

Kai was raised in a working-class family and learned early that ordinary people deserve leaders who will fight for them, not for billionaires, corporations, or political insiders. From union organizing to nonviolent direct action, from long marches to democracy campaigns, Kai has spent decades bringing people together to challenge corruption and build a country that lives up to the promise of liberty and justice for all.

Now Kai is running for Congress to make Arizona affordable for all of us and to defend democracy from the oligarchs trying to buy our elections and rig our economy. His campaign is fighting for Medicare for All, affordable housing, lower grocery and utility costs, universal child care, tuition-free public college, higher wages, stronger unions, voting rights, and a democracy where everyday people have real power.

Kai lives in Tempe with his wife, Erika Andiola, and their dog Luna. He is rooted in Arizona, grounded in the tradition of nonviolent leadership, and ready to bring the same courage he has shown in the streets, on picket lines, and in grassroots movements into the halls of Congress.

This campaign is powered by people, not corporate PACs or billionaire influence. Your contribution will help us organize across Arizona, reach voters, build a movement, and send a fighter for democracy and an affordable Arizona to Congress. A new day is possible. Together, we can seize it.
