When times get tough, working people need to stand up! My name is Brian Poindexter. I'm a union ironworker with Local 17 in Cleveland and our local's apprenticeship instructor, a former labor organizer and a councilman in Brook Park. I'm exploring a run for Congress because workers and working families deserve a seat at the table.

In Washington, working people are too often an afterthought unless someone needs us to help pick up the tab. When tax cuts are on the table, they favor the rich; when subsidies get discussed, big corporations are first in line; and when the nation's debt hits the front page, it's the average worker who's asked to make hard choices. Where's our bailout?

America needs leaders who will treat workers as more than a revenue source and who know and value the people who keep our economy running, our communities thriving, and our nation moving forward. We need representatives with cuts and calluses on their hands who will fight for the overworked, the underpaid, the stretched-thin, and the largely unseen, who build and feed this country.

I'm ready to be that voice, and I'm ready to fight for America's workers, but I can only do that with your help. Pledge your support today to let Ohio know that we're building a movement that fights for working families. Pledge to chip in today!
