Saud Gazanfer has been around the block a few times, and by block, we mean the world. Born-and-raised abroad in Saudi Arabia, he eventually moved to India and then the United Arab Emirates, where he attended high school and developed an early passion for both education and government affairs. Good leaders are born out of lifelong learners. In understanding this, Gazanfer built his political brand on a firm dedication to the process of self-improvement through education. His worldview is open to new ideas, taking shape and evolving overtime out of the conversations between subjects and development of mutual understanding.
In 2010, after living in the United States for upwards of 10 years, Ganzanfer married his wife and moved his growing family to Bolingbrook, Illinois. Having three young girls to raise, Gazanfer has always known the vital role a community plays in the raising and inspiring of future generations. He ultimately dreams of a hometown where everyone pitches in, neighbors care for one another, and diverse identities are recognized and encouraged to succeed. Never one to sit on the sidelines and wait for a dream to materialize, Gazanfer continuously seeks out ways to give back. Outside of work, he uses his professional background in Information Technology (IT) to volunteer time as a security leader for neighborhood community centers. Gazanfer additionally works as a public notary, Will County Deputy Register, and Precinct Captain for Dupage County. He holds a B.S. in IT from DeVry University and maintains a passion for courses in history, politics, economics, and culture.
